5.65 am miles.  Wrapped my lower leg and ankle tightly.  Quite a bit of pain.  After the the run I took some ibuprofen after the run and it cleared it right up.  Feels pretty good tonight, we'll see what happens tomorrow.

2 miles on the track.  I took Saturday and Sunday off to rest my calf/lower leg.  I didn't feel well at all, this run was terrible so I cut it short.  I would have liked to have done 6, 4 minimum.  Oh well.

5.65 am miles.  Wrapped up my lower leg good and tight and took off.  51:23  9:06 ave.  

5.65 pm miles  50:34  8:57 ave.  No way was I going to try to go 10-13 like the good old days (three weeks ago).  Leg hurts, looks like I'm going cut my mileage for a while to allow this lower leg situation to get better.  I'm thinking I can still log 50 to 55 this week, hopefully go 60 next week and hold it there for another week or so.  We'll see, I just hope to get 11 in tomorrow.

5.65 am miles 50:11 8:53 ave  leg felt a little better, it gave me hope, but still very sore.

5.65 pm miles 51:16  9:04 ave   much more sore in the afternoon.  I think I can hang with this plan for a while and just wait out the soreness.

5.65 am miles  49:45  8:48 ave  better this morning, actually felt like a runner.  Healing seam to be taking place.

5.65 pm miles  51:57  9:12 ave.  Hurting badly.  So much for feeling good this morning.  I thought I'd feel better than this, oh well, we'll see what tomorrow brings.

5.65 am miles.  Compared to how I felt yesterday afternoon I wondered if I'd ever be able to run again.  Had a pretty good run, felt like a runner, had many positive thoughts about upcoming races, increased mileage and putting this ache behind me.  I'm happy for no afternoon run today.

6 miles on the track.  52:54  8:49 ave.  I felt like I could have easily put a few more miles in but thought better of it.  I'm concerned about my decrease in mileage but I think I have to do it to get my lower leg back to 100 percent.  I rode my bike to and from the track.  What a beautiful warm day.

5.65 am miles 52:42  9:20 ave, leg getting a little better

5.65 pm miles 50:38  8:58 ave  with this being my second run of the day, it's been painful the last two weeks, but I can tell I'm getting better.  Should be in pretty good shape by the end of the month.

10 miles out and back from home  1:27:38  8:46 ave.  This is the best my leg has felt in a long time.  Had a hard time keeping the pace on the slow side.  out 44:25  8:53 ave back 43:13  8:39 ave.

The decreased mileage is working.  I felt pretty good today, had a little spark in my step.  Leg pain is less, things are going well.  I just saw that the Boston Marathon registration closed already.  Wow, it filled up in 8 hours yesterday, I'm glad I was excited to register and did it right away.  Pending some kind of mess up with verifying my results, I'm in!!

5.9 pm miles  50:22  8:32 ave pace, I think I ran this too fast, I'm not healed up yet, need to keep it slow.

6 miles out and back from home.  8:41 ave, really felt good the last few miles.  felt strong in the hips, was running about 7 to 7:30 at one point.  It was nice to open it up a little, I backed off pretty quickly, leg and ankle still tender.

6 miles on the track, leg feeling very good.  49:03  8:10 ave pace.  It was a little cold today, I ran hard at first to get warm and just kept up the pace.  I would have run a little slower to keep the pounding to a minimum but I didn't.  It turned out well.

5.65 am miles 49:04 8:41 ave  nice cool morning, I think my injury is pretty much gone.

5.65 pm miles 46:21  8:12 ave.  Very strong, wanted to run more miles and wanted to run faster, I think that is a very good sign.  I'm going to fight it and stay the course, finish out the week at about 65 miles, nothing more.

5.15  am miles no watch, did not tape up, had a little discomfort.

6.15 pm miles  54:05 8:48 ave  lot's of discomfort, must tape in the morning. I could really feel it this afternoon, this was a very labored run.

10.3 miles behind the Capitol, along 11th Ave to above Shriners.  First non flat run in over a month, good to be back on this terrain, leg feeling better, had it taped up well.  1:30:21  8:47 ave pace.  On several occasions I had to slow myself down to reduce the pounding.
