9 miles nice and slow behind the Capitol and along 11th ave.  

4.65 am miles 9:00 ave  41:53 total time

8.65 pm miles 8:51 ave  1:16:29  total time.  slow and easy  4 miles on the track 8:45  8:55 8:52 8:58 were the mile times at the track.

For my taper, i'm trying two weeks with a little bit of fewer miles.  Before my tapers were three weeks with practically no running the week of the marathon.  I think that has been disastrous in the past.  We'll see what happens with this approach.

tough running today.  Legs had no life.  I have a hard time believing I'm going to race 26.2 in 10 days.  I'm counting of feeling really good.  Putting my blind faith in my taper plan.  It looks a little questionable so far.

Felt very strong this morning.  best I've felt in the morning in a long time.  It's been a long time since I did this run under 40 minuets.  It really felt good.  I was feeling horrible during last nights run, this was a pleasant surprise.

5.65 pm mile 8:25 average 47:33 total time.  I trimmed this run back by 3 miles.  Time to get the legs juiced up for the marathon.
